Information for model candidates

If you are interested in modeling, please, contact me at monamakela@gmail.com. Attach 2 - 3 of the most recent pictures of yourself that you have. Tell me a little bit about yourself; you potential modeling experience and other hobbies and interests you have. The more I know about you the easier it is for me to incorporate you in a photo shoot that suits you the best and produces the most desirable images.

I will need a completed model release before the photo shoot - you can download the model release form here (coming soon, in the meanwhile e-mail me to request the model release form).

Compensation will be in the form of trade or will be discussed case by case basis.

On the day of the photo shoot, please, follow these guidelines:

- Wear clean wrinkle-free clothing that has no logos, text, no prints and isn’t black or white. Plain pastels or medium dark colors are the best. Occasionally I shoot black or white clothing but I will specifically request this.

- Wash and style your hair the day of the shoot and make sure that your fingernails are clean.

- Do not wear foundation or powder unless you are a trained make-up artist or you have a trained make-up artist do this for you, other make-up is okay.

- Pick your eyebrows and shave your armpits and legs at least one day before the photo shoot, not the same day. Shaving may irritate your skin and it will clearly show in the pictures.

- If we are shooting nudes wear very loose clothing when you arrive as tight clothing will leave pressure marks on your skin.

- Right before the shoot make sure that you don’t have hair ties around your wrists. Also, if you are wearing a necklace make sure that the lock of the chain is in the back of your neck, not hanging in the front with the pendant.

If this criteria is not met unfortunately we can not shoot that day. If you have any questions regarding these guidelines you are welcome to ask me, I am more than glad to go over them with you and to discuss details.

Later, when I have learned to know you, we can break rules but at the very beginning I just want to shoot very simple, clean and self explanatory pictures and find out who you are and how your work in front of a camera.
